Before anyone flips and says "Wow! He sure got better overnight!", there's one extremely important sentence that needs to be read:
Now, on to what I actually did. Everything behind Joy and Raion. I didn't originally plan to take credit for this at all, but Miss Corbin's a cool gal and all, and wanted me to have credit for the bits I did.
So, yeah... the cool bubble design, text, background gradients, and the shadow? That was all me. Yeah. Oh! And I colored in half of the sign too!
My whole plan on making this was to keep true to =SimbaGirl's style. So I picked lighter blues and a creamy yellow to hopefully match the characters and still contain that soft, playful vibe that can be commonly felt throughout her gallery. The shadows in the BG were a fun learning experience (for both of us), and I really hope that I get a chance to do another one of these with my good friend again.
So what is this all about you ask? Emoticon support? Well, =SimbaGirl and I love some of the funnier emotes in the galleries of some of our fellow deviants, but they can't be used in the comments on dA! So we're supporting the creators of emoticons in high hopes that the Administrators might develop (or open up) a system of emoticon submissions! You know what they say: The more the merrier, right?
We even added a thread to the Suggestions Forum: [link] If you're for this, I'm sure the Admins would love to hear about it there.
Hey that's really cool! Lovely contributions from both of you.
I wasn't sure where I stood on the emoticon thing at first, but now I think I agree with you. It's a neat idea. So I've added this pic to my favs and will try to keep it on my front page for a while in the hope of giving it a little more exposure.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Spencer Kelly visits the Royal Albert Hall to see a digital graffiti wall where you can virtual spray paint to your heart's content and email the results to yourself.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More

Well I think it looks awesome too, if I dare say so myself.
Aww... *blushes*
Well I love the characters. I forgot to tell you too. But I'm sure I implied it plenty of times.
